Recently noticed the Fred Meyer store where

I do much of my shopping has stopped carrying

the Morning Star Farms vegetarian bacon

breakfast strips.

I asked about them yesterday and the one clerk

told me she wasn't sure why, but that they had

put them all on sale to sell out and hadn't ordered

any more. She wasn't certain if the company was

discontinuing the product.

Does anyone know?

I sure hope not. I couldn't live without my 'bacon' strips. they are the only

ones DH will eat.

Morningstar Farms also discontinued Tuno a few years ago. The new " tuna "

type product really sucks. Not all their stuff is vegan or pure vegetarian

either. You have to read the ingredients very carefully.

I was able to check the website this morning before

leaving for work and saw they are still listed there,

so I am thinking it must be the store where I buy

them that is just discontinuing carrying the product

and not MSF discontinuing making them. PHEW!

I know how you all feel. I was slightly panicked to

think they would no longer be made. They are awesome!

I did fill out a card at the store requesting they bring

them back. The lady at the customer service desk said

I was not the only person who was asking about them,

so maybe they will bring them back.

Right now there is only one store in town where I can

find this product... but they are so yummy it worth it

to me to make another trip to buy them even if it is

out of my way. :)

They are either vegan or lacto-ova vegetarian(dairy and eggs used) - no meat

products are used in any of their products. Please don't misrepresent these

meat substitutes. It isn't fair or right!

That is what I always thought, Judy.

Some products, and here and there a company

will change their food manufacturing processes,

but I was certain MSF has not done this that we

know of. As a lacto-ovo vegetarian I've been

pleased with the food choices they offer. " pure " *lol*
