Guest guest
Sorry it has taken me a minute to get back to you. Here is the recipe. Preheat oven to 350 One package frozen extra firm tofu thawed, drained, and cut into half inch thick slices (careful it can get a little crumbly). One container of french fried onions (I use a brand our local coop carries but you could use the regular kind too). Put these in a baggy and cruch into medium fine crumbs. in a bowl lightly wisk an egg white or two just until you see a few bubbles. Give the tofu a bath in the egg white like you would do if you were making french toast. Place the tofu in the baggy with the onion and cover the tofu with the onions. sometimes I have a little trouble getting the onin to stick so I press them to the tofu. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake on each side for about 10 minutes until the onions turns a medium brown (darker than golden but not to dark). hope you enjoy this as much as I do!
