Guest guest
I add vegetarian plate to the rsvp card. In a message dated 3/15/2010 5:04:53 P.M. I don't care if I just get some veggies or whatever would be on the side of the meat, but how do I request that on my rsvp card when there's no space for any other option? I want to make sure that they don't cook one for me, I don't just want to have it served to me and not eat it. Help!?!
Guest guest
Write on it " requesting a vegetarian plate " and sent it back.Be sure to have a big snack before you go though. It works every time for me. Lily , " jamber79 " <jamber79 wrote: > > Hey guys, just wanted to hear some ideas on how to handle a friend's wedding invitation. Guest guest
I'm interested to hear what other people have to say, because I'm not 100% sure what I would do. Depends on who the friend is. If it was someone I'm not particularly close to, I would write on the RSVP card something about " not able to attend dinner but will be at reception later " -- and then just come later, when you're sure they'll be done with dinner, or leave early, or whatever... If it was a good friend, I would call them and say hey, don't bother to order meat for me, but I'll eat the vegetable and potato side dishes, and of course I want CAKE! But I would be worried that they would feel obligated to order another entree for me, and I wouldn't want anybody to do that. That's a tough one. This is why buffets are so much better! (provided, of course, that there are no hidden ingredients in buffet items...) Guest guest
I wouldn't ask for the side things, just tell them you are a vegetarian and can't eat either choice. I bet you won't be the only one who doesn't want either for various reasons. Caterers can handle this. Guest guest
I would simply call my friend, explain the dilemma, and ask what they would prefer you do. I would guess " write something in " and they'll recall your phone conversation when they see the card. Ginger
Guest guest
My husband and I have called the place where the dinner is being held and requested a vegetarian entree. They've always been very agreeable. Debbie In a message dated 3/15/2010 4:56:27 P.M. Guest guest
Recently, I have noticed most selections include " vegetarian " ...and they serve you a vegetarian plate. I would add it on the reply...especially OK if it is being catered. They are getting used to this. ________________________________ jamber79 <jamber79 Mon, March 15, 2010 3:54:57 PM advice for wedding invitation Hey guys, just wanted to hear some ideas on how to handle a friend's wedding invitation.
