Guest guest
Tonight is clean out the fridge for me, I will toss celergy, onions, green onions, mushrooms, 1/2 an eggplant into spaghetti sauce and have spaghetti. I don't plan a weekly menu, it has never worked for me. I either have left overs or I don't feel like eating what's on the menu lol Donna Through violence, you may 'solve' one problem, but you sow the seeds for another. Wednesday, April 7, 2010, 6:57 AM  Been planning out my weekly menus in order to get a handle on impulse spending and to also budget time. What are some of your meals you have had or will have this week? How often do you try a new recipe? Last night was clean-out-the- freezer. We had veggie burgers, fries and some mixed veggies from the odds and ends bags of frozen vegetables. ~ PT ~
Guest guest
With a house full of teens and a full-time I have found we HAVE to make a weekly menu; even if it is just a guideline for what we could have each night. My oldest (daughter) likes to know what we will have so she can at least begin prep or help her dad shop before I get home, etc... she loves to cook like me. The boys (16 and 19) like to know what is expected, and it helps not to have to answer the " hey, what's for dinner? " We just say, read the list! If you don't like it, then make a sandwich. *lol* Tonight we are having veggie enchiladas with green sauce. My daughter like to make them with black beans, cheese, and this time she added some mexi-corn. They smell divine. What are you all having? ~ PT ~ , Donnalilacflower <thelilacflower wrote: > > Tonight is clean out the fridge for me, I will toss celergy, onions, green onions, mushrooms, 1/2 an eggplant into spaghetti sauce and have spaghetti. > I don't plan a weekly menu, it has never worked for me. I either have left overs or I don't feel like eating what's on the menu lol > Donna >
Guest guest
Sunday nights I make a big pot of something to take for lunches at work. This week I made lentils & greens, heavy on the greens. Diced up a large carrot to put in also, it really brightens it up. Added chopped green onions, and some minced garlic for flavor. The entire house smells delightful. It was a good way to stretch a cup of lentils. , " patchouli_troll " <patchouli_troll wrote: > > With a house full of teens and a full-time I have > found we HAVE to make a weekly menu; even if it > is just a guideline for what we could have each night. > My oldest (daughter) likes to know what we will > have so she can at least begin prep or help her > dad shop before I get home, etc... she loves to cook > like me.
