Guest guest
I was thinking about trying digestive enyzmes in my last attempt to put on weight. I've tried gaining weight through diet/exercise but nothing seems to work and I'm tired of looking like a stick! I would be interested in hearing about brands of digestive enzymes others use and/or can recommend and knowing reasons why I shouldn't start taking the enzymes, if there are any. Thanks!!!!! Guest guest
I am interested in taking digestive enzymes as well. My colon hydrotherapist recommended Parazyme- a combination of parasite eliminator and digestive enzyme. I guess if you live in Florida, you have parasites, and I am not really a " chewer " , so I have lots of food sitting undigested in my gut. Pleasant, I know thanks for this question. I hope for some reponses --- On Mon, 5/18/09, admartin5 <admartin5 wrote: admartin5 <admartin5 Digestive Enzymes Monday, May 18, 2009, 9:30 AM I was thinking about trying digestive enyzmes in my last attempt to put on weight. Guest guest
Hey! I started taking digestive enzymes about 5 months ago on the recommendation of a nutritionist I met. I used to get gas and indigestion when I ate beans, most grains and other processed foods....so I started taking the enzymes when I ate these foods and seriously I feel so much better after eating!!! My bowels have improved and I've lost weight (however, I have recently cleaned up my diet so I'm not sure if the weight loss is totally due to the enzymes). There are lots of enzyme options out there but I take Rainbow Light Advanced Enzyme System. I'm a HUGE fan of Rainbow Light brand. All of their products are made with high quality vegan ingredients and contain whole foods and herbs for additional support. Here is a link to the enzymes they sell for more info: http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/store/en/browse/sku_detail.jsp?id=RN-1262 These enzymes are vegan-friendly, made from plant-source enzymes. It also contains extra ingredients like papaya, apple pectin, ginger, sea vegetables and peppermint. Just make sure to take the capsules with or before your meal and drink lots of water with it - they sometimes get stuck in my throat if I don't drink enough water with it. There are lots of excellent brands out there - maybe visit your local health store for some assistance. Good luck! --- On Mon, 5/18/09, admartin5 <admartin5 wrote: admartin5 <admartin5 Digestive Enzymes Monday, May 18, 2009, 9:30 AM I was thinking about trying digestive enyzmes in my last attempt to put on weight. Guest guest
I've never taken them consistently, so I'm not sure. However, that's one of the reasons I've pondered moving towards a more raw foods vegan diet, because enzymes are naturally present in raw/living foods. Of course, that's a little bit of a leap at the moment, so I think I'll check out the Rainbow Light brand to help with my digestive woes!
