know.  We love books in the house, and I would like to develop a good reading

selection for when my students find out I am vegetarian.

I know we've had the discussion before about good vegetarian themed

books for children. I have a collection of them. But today I went to a

children's book sale at the library where all the books were just 25

cents (I love those sales and always stock up. Today I bought 40 books!)

 

What a treasure I found there today! I didn't even know this book

existed, but lunged for it when I read the cover as it sat on the table.

I couldn't risk another parent snatching it up. :-)

 

You may want to find a copy, it's very cute and is a good vegetarian

story for kids. The theme centers around factory farming and the meat

industry, but has a happy ending that involves tofu! Need I say more?

I came across a kids book yesterday I wanted to share with you all. I

was at a friend's house and her son had checked it out of the library. I

read the title (Chicken Soup) and had to read it, assuming it as going

to have a bad message. Turns out, the chicken is a guest at the table

for a bowl of vegetable soup. I thought it was very cute and had a
