Guest guest
I was wondering if anyone has tasted carrot juice made from a Champion Juicer and juice made from a Green Star Juicer using the same brand of organic carrots. I bought some Earthbound Farm Organic carrot juice the other day and my children kept asking me for more and more because it was so flavorful! However, when I make carrot juice using the Champion Juicer, they struggle to drink it. I was wondering if it is because of how the carrot juice was made and if using the Green Star will greatly improve the taste of the juice. Guest guest
It could be the age of the carrots. They tend to get bitter (and get more vitamin A) as they get older ________________________________ " admartin5 " <admartin5 Wednesday, July 22, 2009 8:39:11 AM Reason for Differences in Taste of Carrot Juice I was wondering if anyone has tasted carrot juice made from a Champion Juicer and juice made from a Green Star Juicer using the same brand of organic carrots. Guest guest
I do notice a difference with the carrot juice I make at home (just a cheap juicer) compared to the carrot juice made at my local health store using their expensive juicer. I think my cheap juicer doesn't extract as much of the juice from the carrot and leaves pulp behind. I wonder if it has to do with how much the carrot fibers are broken down? I think better quality juicers can break down the fibers better thus releasing more nutrients (and flavor). ?? Just my thought! --- On Wed, 7/22/09, admartin5 <admartin5 wrote: admartin5 <admartin5 Reason for Differences in Taste of Carrot Juice Wednesday, July 22, 2009, 9:39 AM I was wondering if anyone has tasted carrot juice made from a Champion Juicer and juice made from a Green Star Juicer using the same brand of organic carrots. Guest guest
keep in mind that bottled juices like Earthbound are pasturized. It's a totally different beast than fresh juice. , <admartin5 wrote: > > I was wondering if anyone has tasted carrot juice made from a Champion Juicer and juice made from a Green Star Juicer using the same brand of organic carrots. > > I bought some Earthbound Farm Organic carrot juice the other day and my children kept asking me for more and more because it was so flavorful!
