Guest guest
Does anyone else to the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) magazine called Your Big Backyard? It's for kids and mine love it. I usually do as well, but this month it upset me. I have contacted the NWF to express my concerns and I hope you will as well if you are a r (or even if you are not). This month they have two pages that I detest. One that has pictures of little kids holding their " catch " of fish they have caught/killed. The other is a tuna recipe in the back of the magazine. They don't usually have such crap. The problem is that here is the exact word for word mission of NWF (and why I to this magazine and read it each month with my kids): " National Wildlife Federation inspires Americans to protect wildlife for our children's future. " In no way does kids fishing and killing fish, and serving up tuna, protect wildlife. They went against their own mission (and mine for having the magazine). If you'd like to contact them to express your concern you can send them an e-mail at: http://www.nwf.org/contact/ Thanks, Jacqueline
Guest guest
Wild life organizations are not animal rights organizations. Thy goal is to keep there numbers protected and not to end hunting and fishing. It also helps preserve there habitats. We have a certificate from them certifying our property as a natural habitat. I've never seen them as an animal rights organization. Guest guest
Unita, I never implied that NWF is an animal rights organization. I said their mission is to protect wildlife and the magazine had pages in it that were contrary to that. I realize they are not PETA or the HSUS...
