Can anyone suggest a vegan kids chewable vitamin? Of course it would have to be

dairy free etc. I cannot find one with more than 5% calcium and iron. It also

has to be wheat/gluten free for us too.

We just ran out, but my son really likes these (looks like maybe it's

gluten/wheat free? I don't know)

It's got 56 %iron 3% calcium. I don't worry so much about the calcium,

as my son drinks calcium enriched soy/rice milks, loves beans - esp.

garbanzos oh and broccoli and tofu. I did worry about iron at one

point because he seemed to bruise easier than usual, so we switched

over to these, and that seems to have helped (or I'm not noticing it

as much anymore because he's not as clumsy/going into a growth spurt

right now?).

Not sure if that helps you or not...

We use Freeda Vitamins (www.freedavitamins.com). They are vegan, gluten free,

yeast free, sugar free, and free of artificial colors and flavors.

Good luck on your search.

Hi Unita,

Our son takes the Nature's Plus Animal Parade chewable multi-vitamin and

mineral supplement - he quite likes grape and cherry, and they also come

in orange flavor. And they're shaped like wild animals. They are

vegetarian, gluten-free, as well as free from yeast, wheat, soy and

milk. For kids under 4 years, they provide 3% of calcium and 50% of

iron; for kids over 4, they provide 2% and 28%. I've been okay with

those numbers since he drinks fortified soy milk and we're lacto-ovos,

so he gets calcium from dairy products.

Best of luck in finding the right one!

Ok so I don't have a suggestion for you. I was hoping I might be able to talk

to you about Barefoot Books. Feel free to email me off list.

Thanks
