Hi, everyone -

I just wanted to send a quick message to the group to let you all know about

an upcoming event I¹ve been working on that is going to be so much fun. It¹s

coming up October 10 sorry for the late notice but I only thought of

posting this here now for some reason in Chicago, and it will be a free

day-long celebration of vegan culture, community, commerce, cuisine and

couture. There will be free food samples for everyone, plus the very best

vegetarian/vegan restaurants in town. In addition to this, dozens of

vendors, live music, DJs, a children¹s crafts area and speakers throughout

the day (Dr. Michael Greger from HSUS and Nathan Runkle from Mercy for

Animals to name a couple). Additionally, the first one hundred in line will

get a free swag bag loaded with vegan goodies! Chicago VeganMania will be

taking place from 10:00 4:00 at the beautiful Pulaski Park Fieldhouse in

Chicago, 1419 W. Blackhawk, in Wicker Park. Please join us if you can and

let your Chicago area friends and family know about it. We have a feeling

that it¹s going to be a very successful event.

Details are at http://www.chicagoveganmania.com. Please help us spread the

word!

All the best,

Marla Rose

We are thinking of going, but we don't own a car so we'll be going up by train.

Is it easy to get to by eL or bus?

Hi, Linda -

Oh, it'd be great to meet you! It's very accessible by train or bus (we

don't have a car either). The train you'd take is the blue line, Division

Street exit, and you walk east a few blocks to 1419 W. Blackhawk. You could

also take the Ashland, North Avenue or Division Street bus and walk a few

blocks.

Details on the building are here:

Please try to find me if you come (just ask a volunteer for Marla). I'd love

to say hello.

All the best,

Marla,

Great! We're booking our train tickets now (we needed to get up to Chicago

anyway). We'll look for you. There are five of us and we are all talkers so it

is hard to miss us. :-)
