Guest guest Posted October 14, 2009 Report Share Posted October 14, 2009 Mine says 1c rice to 2 c. water (also says 1tsp salt, but I never cook with it or add it - unless I am adding my btb stock) Oh -I also find it takes a bit longer to cook than white rice of the same variety (had to get it recently, I put it on, walked across the street to get my son, came home and it was already DONE - it was crazy fast, in probably 15-20min's and the brown rice takes about 45mins-1hr to cook in my rice cooker). So, I put it on first, and sometimes what I think is 'ahead of time' as it will stay hot for a while in the rice cooker but it still gets done at the same time as everything else. Guest guest Posted October 14, 2009 Report Share Posted October 14, 2009 I have a bag of Lundberg Brown Jasmine Rice and this is what the directions say: 2 cups water for every 1 cup of rice. Salt or butter optional. Rinse rice. Put all ingredients in pot with tight-fitting lid. Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 45 minutes. Do not remove lid. Remove from heat and allow to sit covered for 10 minutes. Serves 4 to 6.
