I am the Room Mom for my daughter's Montessori class and I am trying to

come up with a good craft idea for our Winter Party next Thursday.  Any ideas

are greatly appreciated.

The Fall party a mom had donated the foam stickers and things from Michael's,

which was lots of fun, but I had serectly hoped to make a wreath for the

classroom using things in nature that we would find at the park.

The park we are going to for this party isn't as nature-y, so I'm not sure that

will work as well.

Anyway, I figured this creative group would be best to ask :)

Vegan cookies are what I used for the last party.

Applesauce cookies they were called and lots of oats in them. I will try to

remember to post the recipe tonight.

Sejal, pick up any book of vegan desserts and you'll find a wealth of yummy

stuff without milk or eggs. I highly recommend The Joy of Vegan Baking -- it

has a lot more than baked goods. You can probably find a selection at any

good-sized library to look through and try out before purchasing.

Last year, I did a project with my daughter's Kinder class. Basically a snowman

made out of two paper plates- one for head, one for body. Glue together, do

eyes, nose, arms, scarf, etc. If you think you can find them, the kids might be

able to do the eyes, arms etc. with stuff found at the park. If you're worried

about finding enough stuff, you could pre-make the eyes (we used buttons) etc.

out of construction paper and if they find the stuff at the park instead, great!
