Guest guest
Hi there, There are so many versions of the children's classic " Stone Soup " -- but many of them include meat ingredients. Does anyone know a version of the book that does not mention animal products? Thanks! Lisa
Guest guest
No. Sounds like it is time for someone to write a book! - >
Guest guest
I did a little digging around and found a book that might fill the bill. I've not read it so don't know for sure. It's _Stone Soup_ by Tony Ross. Here's part of the description on Amazon: >>In Ross's version, a clever hen persuades a Big, Bad Wolf to put off eating her until she has made him some stone soup. While she adds vegetables, the hen gets the wolf to do her household chores. He enjoys the soup so much that he forgets to eat the hen; he just makes off with the stone. << Sounds at least worth investigating. Guest guest
I would love this recipe! I tried a vegetable barley recipe that I thought I'd have the kids make, but my 6-year old, who usually enjoys everything that I make, did not like it! So I'm back to the drawingboard!
