Guest guest
Thanks Paula. I just read a couple of stories on the net. The two were different but the first seemed like the one you are talking about. Soldiers with the pot and stone - villagers contributing one ingredient each and they share the soup in the end. What started out as a stone and water ended up a soup filled with many ingredients and the kindness from all. Very very cool story. I enjoyed that one. I still do not know who that is by, though, and had not read it until this point and time. Thanks for the hint, Paula. Pretty cool story. Guest guest
Maybe Shawn can find it on the need or we will have to educate him. It's been a long time, but what I got was about community as well as the joy of the story in general. linda " Paula K Ward " <paulakward > Hint: we're thinking literature here! Guest guest
That is the one Shawn. You got it!!!!!!!!! Try it sometime. It is wonderful. Food is always so much better when it is shared and filled with love and generosity. And just think of the work and worry you will save for yourself. Glad you found it. It is a story that you will find in all cultures in one form or another so there is no original author. A real classic idea to convey what is a necessity in life. Just think, would there be wars if we adhered to the principles conveyed in these stories. linda " subprong " <subprong > Thanks Paula. I just read a couple of stories on the net. I will keep looking through my cookbooks but maybe someone else has this cookbook n can post it for you, the recipe is towards the back of the book if I remember correctly! Guest guest
I think the book you are referring to is called " Herb the Vegetarian Dragon " . We love the book, but it is not the " Stone Soup " story. , " KEVIN n MICHELLE GROSE " <myshadyboyz wrote: > > Hi, > I have a veggie recipe for this soup but for I just can't seem to find the book.
