Guest guest
Hi, we have a pug who is on a vegan diet although were vegetarian. She eats natural balance by dick van patten. I love having a pug as well as pugs tend to be very docile especially with children. although i know there are many breeds that are probably the same. We are looking to adopt a dog in the next few months (before I get pregnant again, and I'd be interested to hear the different types of dogs that you all have been able to feed a veg diet. There is some good info on diet-related differences between various dog breeds at the following web site: http://www.v-dogfood.com/2-health-dr-may.html You can find out more about the source, Dr. Armaiti May, here: http://www.drmayvethousecalls.com/ I hope all works out well for you. - Alan

Guest guest
We have a Bichon, just rescued him, and he is currently on a diet free of wheat, corn, and soy due to allergies, but it contained all the other animal stuff I assume. I was reading on a chat site that they can survive on fruits and veggies, and so far he has been fine with the items that fall off the table (carrots, strawberries, lettuce). I hope to continue to try more, but I'm just gonna stick with those for a week before adding 1 item a week (kinda like a baby, to keep aware of any allergies). I truly hope it works and that I can feed him as we eat. I'm soooo happy we found him. Hyperallergenic and 13 lbs, soft white curls and very sweet, wants to please and doesn't mind a bath or swim in the pool ) Best wishes in finding the right one for you.
