Guest guest
Hi Everyone! I was wondering if any of you have had experience with this with your children. My nephew has been rolling his eyes for the past few days. He becomes very whiny and looks to be uncomfortable then he rolls his eyes up (like he's looking at something above him) then he's over it and continues as normal. It happens at all times of the day not just when he's tired. My sister took him to the ER because it really scared her and the CT scan didn't show any seizures or tumors. She has an appt next week with a neurologist and ophthalmologist but the waiting is killing her as it's just so strange! Has anyone had experience like this?? Or have any thoughts on what it could be? Of course, only as personal opinion and not as medical advice. Thanks so very much!!!! Guest guest
My personal opinion if it truly isn't seizures (which might need a second opinion, if you ask me) is gluten sensitivity. Seriously! I saw an episode of Mystery Diagnosis, or a similar program, where a baby boy did this eye rolling thing, and it turned out to be Celiac Disease! Weird reaction to Celiac, but it probably should be one thing they look for. Marilyn Denise Turner <deniseamay Thu, Apr 8, 2010 5:41 pm OT: Infant Eye Rolling Hi Everyone! Guest guest
Thanks so much, Marilyn. That's interesting. I never thought about gluten intolerance. I'll have to find out what he eats. I forgot to mention he's 6 months old...I believe he eats mostly fruits/veggies. Thanks for giving me something to look into! - Denise --- On Fri, 4/9/10, youhavehowmany <youhavehowmany wrote: youhavehowmany <youhavehowmany Re: OT: Infant Eye Rolling Friday, April 9, 2010, 7:49 AM  My personal opinion if it truly isn't seizures (which might need a second opinion, if you ask me) is gluten sensitivity. Guest guest
Denise--If he is nursing, and mom is eating gluten, that needs to be looked at. Just an FYI.
