Guest guest
I'm wondering if anyone else has had any experience with something like this: for the past month or so, my seven-year-old son has had some little red bumps, sort of like pimples, around his nose. He doesn't seem to have eczema anywhere and it's not major but it is noticeable. No digestive issues that I know about - and, believe me, he informs me of any issues in graphic detail - and no complaints about headaches, drowziness or anything else. Just the bumps around the nose. In talking to his doctor over the phone, she seemed to be of the view that he just had some trapped oil beneath the skin that needed exfoliation. I was wondering if anyone has had any similar issues with their children and what might have caused them. Thanks! Marla

Guest guest
Part of my daughter's reaction to most foods now, but just strawberries when she was younger, was the rash. Those little bumps used to just show up where the juice touched her skin. Now they show up with every reaction and she is allergic to almost all fruits, tomato, cucumber, mushroom, cow's milk dairy and beef. They are a sign that you need to keep an eye on things and possibly get your child tested but keep in mind, oral allergy syndrome doesn't test via skin test but requires a blood test. A more simple, at home method is to take what you suspect is causing the problem and rub some of the juice around the mouth. If there is a reaction, it will be quick and then wash the juice off and give benadryl if needed! ________________________________ tanya wynette <wynettelove Thu, May 13, 2010 3:42:05 PM Re: Speaking of possible allergies... Guest guest
Do you think he's keeping that area clean? It's a bit different, but my 5 month old gets little red bumps on her face when she's drooling or spitting up. If I don't wipe it quickly or she's having a particularly spitty day, she'll get bumps. , Marla Rose <marla wrote: > > I'm wondering if anyone else has had any experience with something like > this: for the past month or so, my seven-year-old son has had some little > red bumps, sort of like pimples, around his nose. Guest guest
Well, he's seven and it does seem to always be smudgy there. I'm thinking that it's more a skin issue than an allergy issue as he doesn't have any other symptoms. Thanks! Marla > Do you think he's keeping that area clean? Guest guest
Perhaps he needs a different kind of cleanser for his face? my kids currently all use the same cleanser for their whole body, but maybe he has sensitive skin on his face and needs a different one? I personally use two different soaps - one for body and one for face. perhaps something hypoallergenic/chemical free... pritzzy
Eye allergies just not getting cured.. ): Hello, I'm 21, I've been healthy all my life and never had any eye problems in the past. I've been suffering from burning and irritated eyes for the past 6 months. Been to several opthalmologists but no success. They dont seem to find anything wrong with my eyes. According to them its allergies. My eyes burn most of the day and turn red too. Mostly when i do near work like reading or computing. The right eye is more severe and veiny than the left. Just recently i had a few blood tests done. It shows an increase in the leukocytes in the blood (normal range 5000-10000,Mine: 10,300). Another test shows increase in IGE levels. Immunoglobin Ige, SERUM 77.80 (normal range <64) Which suggests that i have allergies and that is what is causing the burning. There is nasal congestion most of the time. One of the nostrils is blocked. I've tried different antihistamine medicines as well as drops but nothing seems to work. I just get worried more and more thinking over it. I feel as if it will never be cured. I wanted to know if its surely allergies that is causing the inflammation and burning? (as per the reports) and what are the treatments i can try to get rid of it. Will be grateful if replied. Thankyou!
anisha_astrologer
you don't need to worry about it much. Some children have more sensitive skin in comparison to others. Consult some good dermatologist and they will be able to explain the phenomena clearly.
