Guest guest
I seen some articles about the new cupcake maker for kids being gluten free. I also read that there are gluten free replacements for the easy bake oven. I went to the food tek site to check out it out and see what is available. The only thing they have that is gluten/dairy/egg free is pizza crust. http://foodtek.com/Products/Fast & Fresh/PizzaCrust.html They do have dairy free mixes, but they contain egg. They are gluten and nut free. In case anybody was thinking of this as a chrismas gift, you may want to rethink it if your kids have multiple allergies! You can sign up for their mailing list http://foodtek.com/GF.html if your interested, and maybe they will come out with egg free as well versions. I'm signing up for the newsletter so if I learn of GF vegan products other than the pizza crust, I'll will post. No cupcakes from Santa this year! Guest guest
When I used to have an easy-bake oven when I was little, we never bought the packaged mixes. Just used our own. There's no magic to it. It cooks the same way as the regular oven, with radiant heat. Guest guest
We're getting my daughter one for Christmas and I just googled gluten-free easy bake oven mixes. I found a couple that I'm going to mix up into individual servings for her, but otherwise I think I'll just let her have some of whatever we happen to bake. --Shawn
Guest guest
You don't need prepackaged mixes... or the easy bake oven either.. LOL. We have the easy bake oven, and it was such a pain, that it sits in the pantry now. The best thing we ever found was little cake pans at Target that we can make small tiny cakes and treats in. We use those all the time with regular GF recipes. Same cake - just really tiny. The kids love to make tiny pies with the mini muffin tin. We are using either pie crust or cookie dough for the tiny pie crusts... works great with a little pudding as pie filling, or fruit jam works too. It's super fun to have a tea party with lots of tiny food. : ) The easy bake oven couldn't cook the stuff fast enough. So we moved on over to the big oven, but with tiny pans.
