Guest guest
Just letting you all know that I have uploaded a printable PDF of the Tofu Turkey Roast recipe with step-by-step photos. You can find it in the Files in the " Recipes with Photos " folder.
Guest guest
Kim, I am in the middle of making the Tofu Turkey Roast and I had a question... Do I have to cool the tofu-turkey, refrig, and then reheat? (like the instructions say), or, can I just put it on the dinner table without going through those steps (directly after cooking)? Blessings and Happy New Year! Guest guest
Hi Nicole, It is best to let the " Turkey " cool and then reheat. I think this allows the " Turkey " part to set properly. I'll often make it the day before, but I have made it late morning to eat the same night. Hope you enjoy it, Kim , " Nicole " <gallaghermom wrote: > > Kim, > I am in the middle of making the Tofu Turkey Roast and I had a > question... > > Do I have to cool the tofu-turkey, refrig, and then reheat? Guest guest
Yes, you are right, the cool down is important. I did skip the step to allow to cool and refrig. It turned out ok, but did not hold up. Also, when I uncovered the roast portion, it did not hold into a 'turkey', but split down the middle. I don't think it browned quite as nice either. It was edible and I can see that in the future it might have a better appearance! Experimenting is an imporant part of learning! Thank you for the recipe, Nicole On Wed, Dec 31, 2008 at 6:47 PM, Kim <bearhouse5 wrote: > Hi Nicole, > > It is best to let the " Turkey " cool and then reheat.
