Guest guest
I've been trying out the different nut loaf recipes in the files. The one called " nut roast " with a layer of wild rice and vegies in the middle of the nut mixture is a winner! Coupled with my fabulous mushroom gravy, this dish prompted my husband to say that this was the best meal I've made in the 23 years we've been married. There are a couple of problems with the recipe, though. No measurements are given for the herbs, and it calls for some toasted bread cubes but never tells how they are to be used. (I left them out.) The loaf could also use a bit more salt if eaten alone. With savory gravy on top, it was perfect. Sierra

Guest guest
I've added your comments to the recipe in the Files. I also had a quick look at the recipe and did some simple editing and fixed some typos so the instructions should be a little clearer now. , " snowdrift52003 " <snowdrift52003 wrote: > > I've been trying out the different nut loaf recipes in the files. Guest guest
I have looked all over and just can't find this recipe! Can anyone tell me where it is, or is there an easy way to search the files? Laura Kim wrote: > > I've added your comments to the recipe in the Files. Guest guest
Hi Laura, Go to Files then ***Recipes Posted to VGF*** then Mains then Loaves then Nut and Seed and finally " Nut Roast " There is no real easy way to search the Files but I have included an Index for each main category. Hope that helps, Kim , Laura Piwowarski <lpiwowarski wrote: > > I have looked all over and just can't find this recipe!
