Hi All,

I am new here --joined just 2 weeks ago. My 10 year old son and I both

have celiac.

This is my not so little guy's new favorite " ice cream "

http://www.turtlemountain.com/products/purely_decadent_Coconut_Milk.html

His especially likes chocolate; we get it at the Whole Foods in our

neighborhood.

Have any of you tried it? If so, how do you like it?

My sister bought the coconut one before and I tried it. It was really good!

I usually buy the So Delicious ones they make. Chocolate and strawberry are

my favorites but sometimes I like to try the exotic flavors just for

something different! Every so often I make myself a milkshake too! Chocolate

milkshake and fries! MMM...

Sounds gross but it's good! I also like the shake with tacos! Don't know why

buy it just melds so nicely on my palate! Maybe I'm just weird!

It's nice to see you here, Elena!

The Turtle Mountain ones are good, but they don't hold a candle to Luna &

Larry's Coconut Bliss, which is now available throughout much of the US:

http://www.coconutbliss.com/ I would compare the Turtle Mountain ones to

generic store-brand ice cream and Luna & Larry's to gourmet brands like Ben

& Jerry's. They are agave-sweetened and organic, too.

I love Turtle Mountain ice creams, especially this flavor they have with peanut

butter and chocolate and some of the more " fancy flavors. " I did  have the

coconut based ones, too and those were very good as well. They totally satisfy

me those times my husband and I want to stay in, share a pint of ice cream and

watch a DVD.

Sally,

Oh my goodness! We made it up to Whole Foods today and found the

product you recommended. Yum and thanks so much for pointing us in that

direction. We bought the cappuccino flavor and it was delicious.

Hi y’all,

We discovered a vegan gelato place in the

Sunset that has about a dozen vegan options! And they were really good!

Holy Gelato is at 1392 9th Ave @ Judah. They make

really fun flavors and are a local business like Maggie Mudd’s.

Please check them out!

Claudia,

Holy Gelato is indeed good, and the selection is nice.

They've been in the Ultimate Guide for over 3 years now at

http://www.bayareaveg.org/ug/display.htm?id=732

Why don't you add a review, as mine is the only one so far?

Hi all

Greg, thanks for suggesting that! We love to see more reviews promoting veg foods and businesses. Here's a link with more information
