A few people were saying, awhile ago, that they had an MSG style reaction to

Bragg's Liquid Aminos. I have just been listening to Michael Greger's talk on

the stuff and according to him, there *IS* MSG in it. He didn't say anything

much about it but I thought it was interesting to have that confirmation.

Free glutamates, not MSG. Different thing, but some people have the

same reaction.

I don't get the headache unless I really eat a lot of it! If my body is

already at it's limit or I'm overcoming cold/flu or pancreatitis flair up I

will have IBS symptoms. Most stuff seem to start out with IBS symptoms and

then progressively get worse with migraines and such. That's why doctors

irritate me with IBS diagnoses and their pill cures! It's not IBS, it's

food! Avoid the foods causing the symptoms and walla...your cured! I did

experiment on myself keeping a journal, ate only foods that I knew caused

the symptoms for a day, noting my moods and everything. Then 2 weeks of only

safe foods, not even any ok in moderation foods! Would you believe the

doctor still insisted I had IBS and needed to take pills? Unbelievable!

Glutamate's occur naturally in tomatoes too! Tomatoes also have anti-cancer

properties! There's good and bad in everything! Go with what your body tells

you!

Here is what Bragg's had to say about it.

Thank you for your interest in Bragg Products. We do not add any MSG to our

products however there is natural occurring msg from the soybeans used in

our products, which may result in msg reactions. We apologize for any

inconvenience this brings.
