Guest guest
Hi there, I've tried most of the cracker varieties and they're really delicious. I used to dip them in hummus Eat too many and they leave that gummed up feeling in your throat that I've noticed with other g-f products... is that the cellulose maybe?? Anyway, yummy and usually cost-prohibitive, so if they're on sale, I say buy and stash! -Mary --- On Sat, 4/11/09, not2mild <not2mild wrote: not2mild <not2mild Gluten-free Crackers - Mary's Gone Crackers Saturday, April 11, 2009, 12:29 PM Has anyone tried Gluten-free, Kosher, " Mary's Gone Crackers " in Original, Caraway or Onion flavors? They are on sale at the store I shop at and I'm considering buying a case. Are they good? Thanks! ************ **Feeling the pinch at the grocery store? Make dinner for $10 or less. Guest guest
They are okay. I would definitely try them before I committed to a case. They are the crackers by family buys when we are having a get together because they know they are okay for me, but I don't get them at home when I have other options. They are pretty soy-y and slightly chewy. Guest guest
They are phenomenal! I got a lot of gluten people addicted to them! When people visit I have to hide them and my glutino pretzel sticks or I have nothing left! I prefer the original and the herb ones. I haven't tried the caraway yet. The onion is too oniony for me and the black pepper is too peppery for me, but if you really love onions/pepper then you'd probably like them. If you have a dip they are ok. I made a dip with tofu and roasted red peppers processed in the food processor which goes great with these crackers. They where the talk of my end of summer cookout party last year! If your interested I'll root out the recipe. I think it's in the totally vegetarian book. (I have too many books!) Send me a case! lol On Sat, Apr 11, 2009 at 12:29 PM, <not2mild wrote: > > > Has anyone tried Gluten-free, Kosher, " Mary's Gone Crackers " in Original, > Caraway or Onion flavors? The crackers are small and hard which makes them very crunchy. I like to eat them with peanut butter. The Sticks-N-Twigs are like pretzels. Guest guest
Thank you to everyone who responded. This list is so informative... thanks again! I'm going to try them and also look up the pretzels by another company that was suggested. And I look forward to the dip recipe as we have plenty of summer get-togethers planned.
