I'm wondering what kind of ice cream makers anyone has tried successfully to

make vegan ice creams. My dd has a birthday soon and our local parks and rec

department has a machine they rent out. Considering giving it a try!

 Thanks,

Mary

I think it tastes closer to tahini or pumpkin seed butter but more sweet.

It does contain soy in the form of tocopherols for preservation if that's of

concern to people but it is an excellent alternative to peanut butter,

especially for school lunches in facilities that do not allow peanut

butter. The sample packs are actually available for purchase, containing 1

tbsp and are perfect for brown bagging.

This is the one you want:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000MX05HS

It's a Cuisinart and it's SO easy! Put the ingredients in(after chilling), turn

it on and you have ice cream in less than half an hour.

And get this book:

http://www.amazon.com/Vice-Cream-Gourmet-Vegan-Desserts/dp/1587611996/ref=sr_1_1\

?ie=UTF8 & s=books & qid=1242345714 & sr=8-1

It's called Vice Cream.

Yum, yum, yum!

Good luck!

Oh, wow! Thank you so much!

I had heard of " Vice Cream, " but until now, didn't really have a need for it! I

will definitely check out the Cuisinart machine and the book. Thanks again!

I use a cuisinart for my ice cream. I use either coconut milk or heavy cream,

agave and whatever flavor I want it to be.
