I'm wondering if anyone has any crockpot cookbooks that they would

recommend? I've had a crockpot for a long time and never used it..

I use mine a lot, but have never found a cookbook I like. Try about.com,

they have a busy cook section and I think a crockpot section. AmyF

Hi Jane,

I don't use mine much (inquisitive cats+crockpot makes me nervous...),

but a lot of people seem to love Robin Robertson's " Fresh from the

Vegetarian Slow Cooker. "

Peace,

Maureen

Great book. The sloppy lentils are my favorite from it (so far?).

Keep your tried and true crockpot recipes coming in folks, but in the meantime,

go check out our Crockpot recipes in the Recipe Files.

%2ARecipes/Crockpot%20%20an\

d%20Slow%20Cooker%20Recipes/ Don't miss the two subfolders in this section as

there are a ton of recipes in each of these also.

You can join our Vegetarian Crockpot Recipe sister group.

Re: Re: Spicy Crockpot Texas Black Bean Soup

Good one. I love Crockpot recipes so if anyone has any more

please send them.

I do have a Crockpot cookbook but its a normal one and not always easy

to convert.

Thanks,

Rich

This is our first week with a full load of schoolwork and

extracurriculas and it's crazy. I don't see any let up until

December. On many days there just isn't time to cook. I think the

crockpot is the way to go.

I'm on a hunt for grainfree, vegan, low starchy veg recipes that

preferably have lots of leafy greens in them and some beans. Not too

many beans though.

Most of the recipes I am finding are really heavy on the starchy veg

or the beans.

The only two recipes I make with any regularity in the crockpot are a

ratatouille and a curry recipe from Karina Allrich's blog. those are

both low starch recipes.

Anyone have any tried and trusted recipes they can share with me?

failing that, can you share really quick recipes with me? Ones that I

can make in the half hour before dinner.

Shez
