Guest guest
Welcome Karen, There's a nice page about quinoa here. I wish I'd known about the high Lysine content much sooner. http://www.the-gluten-free-chef.com/quinoa-recipes.html FYI -- I tried the bread roll recipe linked near the bottom of the page. Not bad, but rather crumbly. (I used the flax gel option) Linda

Guest guest
I had a recurring shingles problem and Lysine is very important for fighting viruses, that's all I'm saying. I didn't want to turn it into a long personal post. Getting my amalgam fillings out turned out to be very helpful with that, also. Guest guest
Ah, that's good to know. I wasn't aware of the connection. I note that beans are high in lysine, but I don't know if they are on your " can " list or your " can't " list, and I'm sure you know that anyway! Guest guest
Hi all, thanks for the info. I went to the website and copied down the recipes. I've tried some porridge already - quinoa, buckwheat & millet. It wasn't too bad. I cooked it in the slow cooker with sultanas, coconut milk, dessicated coconut & water. My son had to take lysine tablets recently to fight get rid of a persistant wart that kept coming back after being burnt off. It did the trick. Thanks again, Karen. , pdw <pdworkman wrote: > > Ah, that's good to know. I wasn't aware of the connection.
