Guest guest
I'm wondering if anyone knows of a gluten free and corn free vegetable bouillon cube or mix? That seems to be a difficult combo to avoid. Um, I don't need to mention it needs to be vegan, right? Didn't think so, lol. Martha
Guest guest
I don't know of any vegetable bouillon cubes, but there are some powder vegetable stocks, that I use, such as vegit or ones that I can find during Passover. Guest guest
I've been using Seitenbacher mix for at least a few years. I noticed that they have it online at the Vegan Store if you can't find it locally. Rapunzel brand seems to be okay too. Although they don't label their products gluten-free. http://www.seitenbacher.com/Seitenbacher_Broth_Gravy/BROTH.htm Linda --- On Thu, 10/15/09, Martha Bickford <msew wrote: Martha Bickford <msew bouillon cube or mix? Guest guest
I buy Dan-d-pak packaged dehydrated veggies and put them into a coffee grinder to make a powder. That is what I use. It is pure veggies, no added anything. http://www.dan-d-pak.com/product/product.php?product_id=681 Any other boullion products I have seen have salt near the top of the list, and I need a low-sodium diet. If you can't find this brand in your area, there may be other brands that offer a similar style product. Guest guest
I use Better than Boullion brand. It's comes in a jar and is more like a paste. I believe all of their products are vegan. They do contain soy and might contain yeast... I can't recall. I really like how easy it is to control how much I use. The jar is pricey but lasts me months in the fridge. I think I pay about $4. Do or do not. There is no try. ~Yoda. Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. ________________________________ nancydmiller13 <nancy Fri, October 16, 2009 7:09:33 AM Re: bouillon cube or mix? Guest guest
I just bought the Vegi-zest from this site: https://www.drfuhrman.com/members/members_matozest_vegizest.aspx It was good and has no salt. I haven't tried the other as we can't have tomatoes. I also use Rapunzel Vegan Vegetable Bouillon - this has yeast extract (is this gluten free - I think so) The website has a number to call under FAQ's I use The original Miso Cup delicious golden vegetable soup.
