Does anyone have reactions to the products they use on their skin and hair? I am

reading a book that says if you can't have gluten then you also have to watch

what you put on your skin and in your hair? I use Aveda and just bought a huge

bottle and I am wondering if I should stop using it because I heard it has wheat

protein in it. Thanks Olivia

It's something that I'm struggling with right now. I have a face/neck rash

that just will not go away. I just went through a ten-day run with

high-concentration cortisone cream, and it hardly did a thing. It is so

concentrated that the doc said do not under any circumstances use it for

more than ten days in a row.

I'm going to get " gluten-free " shampoo, conditioner, and laundry detergent

this weekend, and see if it helps. I think the detergent in my pillowcase

may be causing some of the rash. Hope so, anyway.

I'm guessing that the book you're reading, Olivia, is referring to the skin

condition dermatitis herpetiformis. For people that have this condition,

not only can they not eat gluten, but it cannot touch their skin as well.

For those of us who just suffer from Celiac Disease, it isn't a problem.
