Guest guest
Glutenfreegoddess has a cornbread recipe I'm going to testrun for T-day. http://glutenfreegoddess.blogspot.com/2007/12/skillet-cornbread-with-green-chile\ s.html I think the chilis will be interesting in the stuffing, but in the notes she has a sweet version, if you like. Her other recipes are good, so I have high hopes for this one!
Guest guest
I use coconut yogurt (plain or vanilla flavor) in place of buttermilk in recipes. I'd go with plain for the cornbread. You could also use soy yogurt if you prefer. It subs very well for buttermilk! Guest guest
if you can have soy or rice - 1 cup of soy or rice milk and 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar allowed to sit for a few moments works well as a buttermilk replacement Patricia Squyres (714) 299-6468 (714) 974-7055 Fax --- On Sun, 11/22/09, virgo.vegan <virgo.vegan wrote: virgo.vegan <virgo.vegan Re: Corn Bread Stuffing Sunday, November 22, 2009, 7:37 AM Â Thanks - I think I am going tot ry the carrot corn bread in the files. I don't know how I would subsititute buttermilk in the recipe - I have tried almond milk with lemon juice before and did not like how things turn out.
