Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Now that we've done Thanksgiving, I wanted to post a Christmas recipe for eggnog, or vegnog: http://www.elanaspantry.com/vegan-eggnog/ Though my boys call it nutnog. Whatever you call it, I hope you enjoy! Elana
Guest guest
Thanks for this recipe. I was looking at eggnog in the store yesterday. I was SOOOO tempted to buy some even if it did have milk in it. I so love eggnog. But I didn't. I was going to ask if there was a milkfree way to make eggnog. And, bingo, here is the recipe. I buy almond milk for my son all the time. Could I just add the spices to it and have the eggnog or do I need to do the whole almond thing? I would have to buy the almonds. I don't know where to buy a cheaper supply of almonds. They are like $6/lb. That's why I haven't been making my own almond milk. A friend from church gave me the recipe, but I can't afford $6/lb for almonds. maryruth
Guest guest
Silk makes a very good egg nog as a special treat for the holidays along with a pumpkin flavor as well. Guest guest
Dear Maryruth, You could try it with the pre-made almond milk, it might be really good, though this is just a guess. Please let us know how it goes! Elana http://www.elanaspantry/recipes/
