Dehydrated fruits or veggies, nuts and seeds are healthy, convenient snacks.

Glutino pretzel sticks and hummus is an awesome snack if you like hummus!

Recently I had some multigrain crackers which where really addictive. I

think the brand is Toastmasters. There where a couple varieties and I recall

dairy being in at least one of them, so double check ingredients! I had the

original flavor which was safe.

Can't think of anything else at the moment. Good luck! :-)

I am about 12 weeks and nursing so I have been insatiable lately. I make sure

to pack a few larabars in my purse, a banana and a couple of apples. I was

carrying around some homemade trail mix as well - peanuts, dried fruit, some

seeds, etc, but I decided the larabars were more convenient. I also like raw

revolution bars - really great for a sweet craving but no refined sugar in them

and dates have been helping me a little with morning sickness so maybe that is

why I am drawn to both these bars?

I also use Larabars when I'm on the go and want a non-sugar-sweetened snack.

:)

Just in case anyone is like I am - the more fruit I have, particularly

high-fructose fruit like apples - the hungrier and more hypoglycemic I get.

If you find that you just keep getting hungrier and hungrier, you might want

to try nuts, vegetables, and low-fructose fruits and see if it helps.

Congratulations! I made myself homemade crackers by searching around the web

for recipes. I stuffed dates with almonds. I kept almonds in my pocket when I

was away from home. I ate apple slices by the bag full. I made dips and dipped

carrots. I especially loved to dip carrots in hummus.

Your comment reminded me Pam that when I eat apple slices now I spread them

with almond butter and then dip in chia seeds. That seems to keep the blood

sugar from fluctuating. Chia stablizes blood sugar and really bulks up to create

fiber which makes you feel full. Not the most convenient thing for a travel

snack but at home it would work.

They seem expensive, but they last awhile. I gave half of my under-a-pound

container to my sister two months ago, and I've still got plenty left.

Here's a brief summary of the benefits of chia!
