egg replacement for brownie mix?

I picked up a box of Betty Crocker Gluten-Free brownie mix as a treat.  Would

the Ener-G egg replacer work ok or should I try something else?  I've heard that

baby food can sometimes substitute for eggs.  If so, how much and what kind

should I use for each egg?  I also have some ground flax seeds on hand.  Not

sure how to use that, either.

Has anyone else tried this product and made it dairy and egg free?  If so, what

did you use, and how did it turn out?

I made them a while back using baby squash and unfortunately they ended up in

the trash! :(

I had success making cupcakes with both the yellow & the devil food mixes. I

used 1 square container of gerber baby squash for the eggs. Even the gluten

eaters loved the cupcakes! The only brownie mix I've had success with is Bob's

Red Mill, which has corn in it. If corn isn't an issue for you, BRM is the way

to go for brownies! Good luck!

Cherrybrook kitchens is a good one if you can find it.....I've seen it on line

and our local store was carrying it however I was just informed that they will

no longer do so--I did ask them to reconsider!  The Betty Crocker gluten free

mix requires an egg and butter (ugh!)  I did try a substitution for them but it

didn't turn out as well.........I tried the Namaste brand once or twice, its'

pricey, but I recall it being a good one, free of most allergens and easy to

make.  We don't have the corn or soy issue so I'm sorry I can't tell you if

these mixes contain those items.  I use Bob's Red Mill mixes quite often---the

baking and pancake mix, chocolate chip cookie mix and the chocolate cake mix,

when we can find them.

1 T flax meal + 3 T water?  Was it for the BC GF brownie mix or for their cake

mixes?

That's interesting that the subs worked for the cakes but not the brownies.

Thanks for the heads up.
