Thanks for posting my recipe for Middle Eastern Red Lentil Soup. It's one of my

old favorites. Since the website link got left off, I wanted to mention it so

that people can see the photo of the soup:

Hope you enjoy!

Thank you, Susan. I apologize for not giving you credit. I found the

recipe on a featuring gourmet recipes --- and it had no source.

Since the subject came up here about 'real food' rather than processed food,

I thought maybe someone should post a few 'real food' recipes. :D Thank

you for the proper link and credits.

No need to apologize, LaDonna. It happens all the time with Groups. I'm

happy to share the recipe with the group. I'm always reading all the other

recipes and never bothering to post any, so in a way I feel I owe y'all some!

Cook the same way, but not nearly as long! Cooking red lentils for soup

takes about 10-15 min.

Martha, in addition to what Pam said, I just wanted to add that red lentils are

different from brown ones in that they break down a lot more, making a smoother

soup. They also change colors as they cook, becoming more golden and less

bright red/pink. To me they have a milder, less earthy taste than brown or

green lentils and are great at picking up whatever seasonings you add to them.
