Guest guest
Hi everyone, I am new to the group. For almost twenty yaers I am a vegetarian and I am vegan for almost five years. I became vegan for moral and health reasons. Living without dairy and eggs did improve my health a lot. I was suffering from hayfever (and asthma). I have met a child who was suffering from neurodermitis and was living gluten free for a while because her doctor did suggest that. I am wondering if anyone has ever heard of illnesses being cured with a gluten free diet other than coeliac disease. Is anyone here who is suffering from allergies and tries to find out if living gluten free helps? Regards, Antonia Sie sind Spam leid? Mail verfügt über einen herausragenden Schutz gegen Massenmails. Guest guest
Hi Antonia; Absolutely! Gluten intolerance can cause dozens of illnesses: Anemia, Alzheimer's, infertility, osteoporosis, schizophrenia... you name it! I had chronic headache, arthritis, bronchitis and depression. My husband threw up often. It got so bad that I was afraid to go out to eat with him anymore. Our daughter had chronic ear infections, hyperactivity and cystic acne. Guest guest
.. Going gluten free got rid of my excruciating joint pains. Other gluten symptoms that have disappeared since going gluten free are: Feeling like the upper part of my stomach had been over-inflated with a tire pump, and digestive system that had slowed to a crawl is now moving smoothly. Guest guest
At the same time my stomach issues started up last year, I started getting lots of eye mucus, and wearing contacts became quite difficult. Once I went GF, that pretty much cleared up.
