I've been doing a lot of reading and research, and keep turning up information

that tells me that flatulance (digestive gas) is a result of fermentation. Fair

enough. But why do I burp within moments of eating a meal of fruit? Surely it

hasn't had time to ferment yet?

Couldn't it also just be from swallowing air while eating? The small

bits of air rise and the bubble comes out. I see it a lot with my son

who always burps a ton after drinking everything, especially water.

(he's 2) within a minute there's a huge burp.

kinds of digestive gas

1. From fermentation, production of alcohol when we turn our digestive tube

into a still through poor food choices and/or poor food combining.

2. From rotting proteins, when they sit in us too long. Occurs when we

consume too much protein, the wrong kind of protein, protein in poor food

combinations, etc. This is the smelly stuff.

Burping, moving up, not down, obviously of a different nature. Feel what you

are burping, very acidic, right? That's where the idiotic diagnosis called

" acid reflux " comes from. In all likelihood, not enough time between meals,

your stomach is still holding your last meal, and/or you are eating WAY too

much acid fruit.

Does this happen, for example, when you eat bananas on an empty stomach? If

yes, then write back, there is more to explore. If no, learn food combining.

:)

Am working on the food combining, but yes, it does happen with bananas (or

dates) on an empty stomach. I usually have sweet fruits (bananas and dates

are all we can get at the moment) until lunch, then either keep going with

them, or have kiwifruit or apple or mandarines from then on. The burping

usually happens more in the morning. (Burping after a cooked meal I put down

to the poor foods I'm eating, and accept that it's one of the consequences

of my choice to eat it)

Apparently it also happens after lettuce (just had about 3/4 of a head of

cos lettuce for dinner, about 2 hours after a handful of dates, no dressing,

no extras)

I did wonder if that was the reason. Is there a way to eat without

swallowing air, though?

Great question! I think for me if I rush to eat then there's more air.

Slower seems to help for me. :)

Are you in a position to fast for 36 hours or so, say from Friday evening

until Sunday morning, something like that?

Caron, honestly, we're at the point where I cannot go forward using email

alone. Too much missing information, and WAY too much effort in the

communication, at least for my preference. You are asking here for personal

coaching, not for information of general interest.

Nice point. An easy way to examine this question, Caron, is to notice

whether the burps seem acidic. If yes, then Catherine, no. If no, then

Catherine, perhaps.

Eating without a suit in deep space would probably do it. ;)

is it something you are trying to eliminate?
