Guest guest
That was super cute. I am dreading the cold winter when I try not to indulge in lattes anymore. and to think, I got my own espresso machine last year.... and I used to work at starbucks.... --- emusedmary <emusedmary wrote: > sure I'm gonna miss you sometimes... > > but I've got to move on with my life > so goodbye > Ben > Jerry > Samuel Adams > and of course > good old Joe-you mug! > > :-D > Em > > > ______________________________\ ____ Shape in your own image. Guest guest
I feel your pain Kerrie, I got up to drink my cappuccino's that I make. But since I am off of dairy, I don't have them now. Which is probably good, because it is encouraging me to give up coffee all together. It just isn't the same without the frothy/whipped milk. Guest guest
Belinda- I haven't had cow's milk since I was 7 or 8.....so I don't know what it would be like in a latte! I used to make mine with soy, but I really think they would be fantastic with almond milk.....but I'll just try to avoid that as a daily thing. Maybe once or twice a month I'll indulge- IF I'm doing everything else well. ~Kerri --- Belinda <MistyBlueTN wrote: > I feel your pain Kerrie, > I got up to drink my cappuccino's that I make. > But since I am off of dairy, I don't have them now. > Which is probably good, because it is encouraging me > to give up > coffee all together. Guest guest
Kerri, would the soy milk whip or froth up? Or is it the latte that does not have a frothy top? I get the cappucinos and lattes confused. I am thinking th lattes have whip cream on them or something. When I was drinking milk, I had a little gadget that just whipped the milk up to where it was real creamy and I poured it in the coffee and added a little hazelnut flavoring. My drink was actually more whipped milk than it was coffee. Anyway, I have been using some vanilla flavored almond milk in my decaf coffee. It's ok, but nothing to write home about. I have not tried soy milk. I probably just need to give up the morning coffee anyway. It's just that I like something warm to drink when I first get up. Especially on cold winter mornings. Maybe I will switch to hot lemon water with a tad bit of honey. I drink this when I have a cold or sore throat. I don't like coffee when I am sick. Guest guest
Belinda, I make " coffee " and even frappuccinos at times... Brew Teeccino (www.teeccino.com), an alkalizing, fresh and herbal mixture (like a tea) in a coffee maker. The amaretto is my fave. It looks and tastes like coffee. Smells like it too (many love the " smell " of coffee brewing, I find. Not me, but I respect it) Add fresh almond milk and a touch of agave or stevia or honey, depending on your preference, and it is awesome! And healthy! A total latte! The fish are biting. Guest guest
Belinda- If you have an espresso machine with a steam wand, you can froth soy milk and almond milk up just as much as cows milk. It's not as thick, however. I don't know if that little gadget you have will do the trick (I believe I know what you're talking about...it spins around and makes frothy stuff w/o heat?) lattes can have whipped cream, but not mine! Here's an easy way to differentiate between the two. If you have two glasses, side by side, and one is a cappucinno,, and one is a latte... The latte would be 1/3 espresso, 1/3 warm milk, and 1/3 foam. Cappucinno would be 1/3 espresso, 2/3 foam. --- Belinda <MistyBlueTN wrote: > Kerri, would the soy milk whip or froth up?
