I had completely forgotten to share this story when we were talking

about animals and their choice of food

I was taking a walk one morning when I saw this squirrel scampering up

and down trees and chattering in hyperspeed.

He scampered by me at lighting speed to take another sip from a cup

that someone had dumped by the side of the road-it was an iced coffee

from Dunkin donuts

that poor squirrel was totally addicted to the thing-taking sips and

dragging it down the street by the straw

I thought about taking it away but I was actuallyscared.

I've thought too how strange it is that bears go after junk foodwith

such aggression.

Reminds me of the story of the deer found to be eating and getting

high off a marijuana garden in Italy: http://snipr.com/1ohki

LOL!

Erin,

that was weird!

-I posted about that in message#32885

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/07/02/frisky_deer/

but I do get concerned with the consumption of SAD in animals

http://www.buzzle.com/editorials/12-16-2003-48682.asp

and this is an article for feeding birds responsibly-so many around

here feed the birds the awful white bread that they too eat-bakery

around the corner just next to the liquor store

Just about every " wild " animal we see in our " civilized " world has

tainted blood from scavenging through the trash of humans. I saw a

raccoon recently digging through my neighbor's trash. There is a

skunk that makes regular rounds from house to house at night. And, we

wonder where they get rabies and other dis-eases.
