Guest guest
It's more than just a correlation to low body fat, which is only low in comparison to the general unhealthy population. If we were all slender, low body fat would be " normal body fat " . Healthful living means that the body does not have to utilize or create a system to eliminate foreign matter. It is OK not to have a bloody period. The monthly cycle is not stopped. The healthy, fit body is still fertile, though not exhibiting symptoms (hemorrhaging) from wrongful living. Janet rawfood , Terry Bakhtiari <pablobully wrote: So, I am still confused on if this is ok to not have one or not. If you have a low percentage of body fat, that seems healthy, so the body naturally stops the monthly, so does that mean it is ok? Janet - great use of language - 'cause an uproar' - LOL! Thanks for the smile. Low body fat percentage in extreme athletes does cause this, yes. They are usually below the general recommendations for women, too, though. So is it a sign of great health then? It really is an interesting topic. Guest guest
Great points. There is MUCH we don't know to make the claim that it is healthy. And women are supposed to have more fat FOR childbearing and female purposes. No denying there are too little people in great shape, but that is not to say that there aren't some who abuse their body with working out way too much and too little fat. It is all about balance. You can be superfit in a healthy way and superfit in an unhealthy way. For a natural kotex type effect (lol), did you know you can use natural sponges? Be a better Globetrotter. Guest guest
I have always hemorraged a very unusually large amount - so thank you to the universe for creating a body that would help me get rid of toxins monthly and keep me alive all these years... (I didn't always see it this way) I learned about sea sponges years ago and didn't try them b/c my flow was so heavy how could that possibly work - well, better late than never I finally tried them and geez I am so happy with them and luna panties too! (sorry guys if TMI sometimes we women just gotta share) The 'cup' thing looks too manufactured and plasticy for me - the sponges are wonderful and when you call the company for support like I did, I actually got the owner who's been using them for 30 years... she suggested I use two at a time until I'm more comfortable and it was not only a dream to be this easy, I'm never w/o protection, I can travel w/no problem - seriously, even on a bus! I've done it. And of course now either due to my age or my body fat becoming more naturally low (who knows) my flow isn't so present this past month... I'm definately giving these as presents to my younger women friends who still hemorage monthly b/c any improvement in health is still improvement! Natural sea sponges, I believe. You put them in, take them out when saturated, and clean it out and reinsert it.... I read about them in CUNT, by Inga Muscio. I know what you're thinking, but it is the greatest book ever. Cunt used to be a term of respect, pre- patriarchy. Hence the title. Lots of great information. :-) VERY fun and entertaining and informative book. > > > > > > Building a website is a piece of cake. > Small Business gives you all the tools to get online. > >

I am so addicted to tampons though. I'll have to call my Grandma up (we call her " G2 " because my mom is " grandma " to my 7 yr old nephew and " great-grandma " is just a mouthful - so she's G2, like as in Grandma the 2nd). She's freakin awesome and I'm sure she'll be like WTF? (literaly, you'd have to know her) and laugh and tell me what they used. LOL.

Guest guest
The body clearly has no use for the material it has to eliminate. When women eat cleanly and live healthily (fresh air, sun, exercise, etc.), the blood, and material that is shed, begins to dissipate. There is a lot of money being made on this bloody issue, and lots of trash going into landfills. Why not consider it another reason to attain good health? Personally, I'm OK with not experiencing the bloating, the cramps, and the BLOOD. If I feel good, that is a symptom of healthy living. Who needs a bloody period? Guest guest
But the material needs to be there to begin with. It would be needed if a baby is conceived. Without the extra tissue and extra blood, the uteruas would not be prepared for a baby. What you are speaking of(no more monthly shedding of blood) is in no way a natural state for a fertile woman to be in. It is like saying, my body is so healthy and non toxic, that I don't sweat anymore, or no more mucus needed to get rid of bacteria, viruses and toxins in the body. By the way. Not all women have cramps and bloating. I have discovered that a healthy diet and excersise does prevent the cramps and bloating or decrease the severity of it. The same for PMS. It has got to where I can seldom even tell when my menstrual cycle is to begin. I have to keep looking at the calender. Oh and a lot of money is being made on toilet paper, tissues, cottonballs, diapers, etc. So what?
