If you look through our archives, you will find an abundance of recipes

that will fit your allergies. If any of them use cornstarch you can

just subsititute it witth arrowroot, it works just as well as corn

srtarch. I can understand how frustrating this can be. We have celiac

in our home as well as food allergies. We are trying to deal with them

all as well. If you have any other questions, please ask.

The thing is, kudzu could be quite valuable if folks would just learn how to

use it.

food:

fiber:

natural limitations on kudzu (research):

It looks like a lot depends on which type (water or fiber) kudzu we have

growing down here. Either one can be used in a variety of ways--we just

have to start *using* the darn stuff.

We use kudzu all the time. In what way are you having difficulty using it?

It was a joke ! Since the introduction of Kudzu into the US, where it has no

natural controls, it has proven to be the most invasive and destructive plant

known to have been imported.

The South I knew, as a young child, has become over run with it.

I figured it was either a joke or you were sorely confusd. ;)

I'm running a machine with excellent security and virus protection. It's

also a mac, so... um... less worry to begin with.

BTW there is no virus protection program that is perfect. Mine gets updated

constantly so it is always up to date.

Hi, I have gotten help with going raw and my son has done it for aboout

1 week and says it will not work for him. He has been to lots of dr for

his problem also. He can't digest nuts or any grains raw or cooked.

fruit makes his symptoms worse. I'm not sure what I want to know but do

any one know where he might get some help? Or do you think going on

green drinks would help him. He is thinking that he would loss weight

and he has none to lose. He has also spent lots on different drinks and

pills that have done him no good. He has had problems with food since

he was a baby.

Nuts and seeds are easier to digest if they have been soaked and then

" cultured " with probiotics, but i would say more than anything is to

make his mind that it will work, because from what you have described

he sounds like he has little faith. All i'm saying is that if i want

to be successful in something i decide that it will work before i

proceed, not filled with doubts and worries and fear!

If he says that it will not work for him, then chances are he's

already made up his mind to be limited to that fate, but if you can

change his thinking first there might be more chance for a successful

outcome.

Theresa,

You still haven't listed what is wrong with your son-? :-) You didn't

list his symptoms or what he " has " ...

Raw foods does work for everybody because it's science, not " a diet " .

Your son would perhaps be one of those that does well on a balanced

organic vegan diet of about 80% raw or so and 20% cooked. You also

didn't mention his name, etc.

Hi and thankyou for your help. I know how to soak nuts and seeds but

how do you culture with probiotics? That I'm not sure what you mean

since I'm kind of new at this raw food thing also.

Hi, My son has had Celiac disease since birth. He started to lose

weight about 3 years ago now. He went to the dr and they said nothing

was wrong with him. He is 5,11 I think and his weight was 135, he went

down to 109 now is back up to 115 but still looks bad. He has been

checked for aids and other things I'm not sure of what now. He is going

to a wholest dr now and has gotten some help. He told him he had

candida a diet of lots of cooked meat no fruit. Then he got sick and

had to go to another dr because this dr is over 150 mi away. this dr

did test him for crohn's, and colites but said that it did not come

back saying he had either but he also said that he still could. Our

family dr said that it is all in his head. Oh yes, his name is mark and

he has a twin that has it also but not as bad. Mark has always been

sicker than is brother. since he is now over 21 I don't keep up with

all that is wrong with him but he has now come to me about it since I'm

doing so good on the raw.
