Guest guest
The Physiological Effects of Garlic http://www.gourmetgarlicgardens.com/health.htm Studies by competent multi-degreed scientists have shown beyond any reasonable doubt that consuming garlic generally has the following physical effects: Garlic lowers blood pressure a little. Garlic lowers LDL Cholesterol a little. Garlic helps reduce atherosclerotic buildup (plaque) within the arterial system. One recent study shows this effect to be greater in women than men. Garlic lowers or helps to regulate blood sugar. Garlic helps to prevent blood clots from forming, thus reducing the possibility of strokes and thromboses (It may not be good for hemophiliacs). Garlic helps to prevent cancer, especially of the digestive system, prevents certain tumors from growing larger and reduces the size of certain tumors. Garlic helps to remove heavy metals such as lead and mercury from the body. Raw Garlic is a potent natural antibiotic and, while far less strong than modern antibiotics, can still kill some strains of bacteria that have become immune or resistant to modern antibiotics. Garlic has anti-fungal and anti-viral properties. Garlic dramatically reduces yeast infections due to Candida species. Garlic has anti-oxidant properties and is a source of selenium. Garlic probably has other benefits as well. Modern medical discoveries have shown that, contrary to prior medical opinion, numerous diseases are caused or contributed to by infectious processes caused by bacteria or viruses, or both - gastric ulcers, ulcerative colitis, coronary artery disease, Kaposi's sarcoma and cervical cancer to name a few. Garlic may be helpful in treating or preventing some of these conditions. ____________________ The experience of dynamic religious living transforms the mediocre individual into a personality of idealistic power. Guest guest
" Raw Garlic is a potent natural antibiotic and, while far less strong than modern antibiotics, can still kill some strains of bacteria that have become immune or resistant to modern antibiotics. " The key phrase in this bullet point is " potent natural antibiotic " . As many know, " anti-biotic " means " against life " . If garlic is anything like chemical antibiotics, then it is not only " killing " bacteria, but killing healthy cells, too. Infection is not caused by bacteria. Bacteria has been " invited " to the scene to clean up the mess of waste created by improper eating/living. It is part of the healing process, however uncomfortable or unsightly it may be. These living organisms (bacteria) simply do not exist in environments that do not support them with the food they need to survive. After all, they are living micro organisms seeking food for survival, and some bacteria thrive on the stuff our bodies are trying to expel. For instance, some of you may have heard about the benefits of using maggots for severely infected body parts. The maggots will ONLY consume the decomposed tissue and leave the healthy tissue alone. (Thanks, I'll pass on this treatment...and most all treatments.) Anyway, garlic and other condiments ARE tasty when the taste buds have become desensitized. By abstaining from condiments for a month or more, the body will readily reject such substances upon reintroduction to the body. Think hacking, coughing, sneezing, tearing up in the eyes, etc. Not fun.
