Guest guest
Bill, What a beautiful suggestion!!! People are ALWAYS looking for nice ways to stay raw and participate in social events with others. Elchanan _____ rawfood [rawfood ] On Behalf Of Bill-Schoolcraft Tuesday, August 21, 2007 10:09 AM rawfood Re: [Raw Food] Hot Food?? (candle-lit) At Tue, 21 Aug 2007 it looks like Elchanan composed: > Hi Kat, > If you choose to heat some foods, then the easiest way to regulate temperature is to stir with your hand. If your hand becomes uncomfortable, then stop heating the food. ____________ I have brought raw butternut squash soup and had in a standard stainless warming plate but instead of having the little cans of fuel under it, I put small candles " and " kept a pencil thermometer sticking out of the soup for all to see... It was great, stayed warm at 100 and once you get the right " candle_count " the dish is very presentable. There was something very cool to watch and that was the people gravitate to the candle lit food in a sea of cold raw food! I don't have the Butternut recipe handy but this one is close... http://living-foods.com/recipes/creamycarrot.html -- Bill Schoolcraft http://wiliweld.com
