I know there are a couple of lakes in Upper Michigan that are still quite pure but not many. It is a fight to keep them to just row boats and kayaks. They do not get our diseases which I thought meant that they are healthy until they die at 40 which did not make any since either. But the confusion is now cleared as I understand that they only recently started to die at 40 (formerly 90) when they started eating like westerners.
