It occurred to me that when people die hideously like being burned alive, etc, they probably leave their bodies earlier than later if you catch my drift. We see them suffering, but they surely get the hell out of there asap. Honestly, who says all death is painful? It's usually painful for those left behind, left to mourn. Some tribes understood this and celebrated when people die. I love that, because honestly, it makes more sense to me. I don't think death is suffering, life pretty much is. Death is wonderful. Lots of dead people have confirmed this through channels, mediums, or people who have had Near Death Experiences confirm this, etc. I had a paranormal experience and left my body and travelled etc. It was wild. So, I feel I can say this pretty certainly. I wasn't even ill or in physical pain (just emotional) and honestly, it sucked being back in my body. You want back out again right away! :-)

You want back out again right away! :-) Actually you've just reminded me of a program I watched on tv ages ago about a plane accident, IIRC there was a fire inside the plane. Anyway, there was a huge rush of flame that went right through the plane and one survivor was talking about it and she said that she wasn't scared but totally calm and at peace, she was being burned alive yet didn't actually feel pain. Nowadays I would refer to that as an 'awakening' experience. And I think it is tragic that people are'nt taught such things that when faced with such apparent horror that they will be ok and just relax into it. Yeh, and peak experiences are great fun are'nt they, as long as we let them go when they're done, if we don't they act like an anchor and hold us in the past, yeuck. neal. p.s. and I'm really looking forward to my death whenever that may be. and a much longer p.s. You've started me off now! Regarding death and whether it is painful or not. I have often wondered about this when one life form captures another and eats alive, be it insect, spider, cat, dog. I've watched lots of wildlife programs in the past and always been spellbound by the tooth and claw of nature. Not taking pleasure in something being killed, but the beautiful purity of these creatures being exactly what they are. I honestly cannot imagine a more selfless act that to relinquish one's own life in order to give it to another. I've faced my own death and in just relaxing into the initial rush of fear which probably would look to someone else watching awful, nothing could be further from the truth. It was the most astonishingly awe filling experience, wonderful truly wonderful.

Guest guest
Out of body experiences are the norm for many. Staying in the body and being part of our existence on earth is something some of us who have had abusive childhoods have to learn. We run - one way or another from our lives. Being here is the where we learn. Present time. NOW is where we live. Removing the pain and clearing out the mental and emotional blocks it causes can help us to be freer each day of life.
