Guest guest
Read the book " Caffeine Blue's " . Literally, there are a thousand things bad about coffee is there one...I can't even begin to describe them all. The book is a very worthy investment...heck, give my your address and I'll buy it for you (well, not really, but that's how serious I am! hehe) I'll just say that, essentially, coffee contributes to almost much every single one of man's modern ailments. Cheers Joe > > I'm glad you qualified the wine (and I think chocolate) > " sure as hell isn't good for you " statement with " according > to the raw food natural hygiene doctrine. Guest guest
I wanted to add a couple of things. First, thanks for originally appreciating the qualifying sentence...I did put it in there on purpose to cover my butt! So about coffee...have you ever seen the effects on someone who is a daily coffee drinker, when they stop drinking it cold-turkey? It is serious, with all the same symptoms of a major drug withdrawal. MOST people can not even handle it all, and go back for their fix by the 2nd day. It is scary. Also, if you are truly clean inside, and have been without coffee for a few months, go get a regular coffee and witness the effects yourself. I don't know what being on crack feels like, but to me it must come close! I had a coffee a few weeks after having done a fast and some mono-dieting, and the experience was literally frightening! And what's even worse, the next day I FELT like having another! Which shows how addictive it is as a drug. These are only anecdotal examples of the effects of coffee. But, in that regard they do not compare to stopping or starting meat eating in the slightest. There is no withdrawal when you stop eating meat, and there are no heart palpitations and head spinning when you start (after having gone without for a long time). So please read that book (linked below). It is written by a doctor, and is very thoroughly researched, backed-up, and well written. http://www.amazon.com/Caffeine-Blues-Hidden-Dangers-Americas/dp/0446673919 Cheers Joe rawfood , " Joe Postma " <joepostma wrote: > > Read the book " Caffeine Blue's " . > > Literally, there are a thousand things bad about coffee is there > one...I can't even begin to describe them all. Ask me know what I read that startled me, I can only remember one statement and from being a machinist for quit some time it was one of the most " nails scratching the chalkboard " things that one can do to a car and it was this... " Drinking coffee is like having you foot and brake and the gas pedal at the same time... " That was the show stopper for me. Even though smoking is awful for you and other addictions are terrible, I HATE how SAD people will totally tsk-tsk smokers and other addicts, totally kidding themselves that they are not junkies themselves. These same people cannot FATHOM life without their cheese and coffee (or tv's, etc). At all. They are so addicted it's ridiculous! Ever talk to someone who's had like 6 americanas (espresso and hot water) from Starbucks? It's ridiculous. Identical to people cracked out. To drive under that much coffee is LITERALLY worthy of a DUI, because caffeine is DEFINITELY an addictive, unnatural drug. And the withdrawal is RIDICULOUSLY TOUGH. Roger goes through this in " Roger's Recovery From AIDS " (a GREAT GREAT book), and he almost 'doesn't make it'. Like literally just loses his mind. Caffeine is a total drug that is very destructive to health. Erica
Guest guest
Those coffee withdrawal headaches are something else! That's why I taper off MANY MANY times!
