Guest guest
you know, I just started on sunday and I woke up with a wicked sore throat today, myself! I've never heard of a " healing crisis " tho. can someone explain that? nancy rawfood: sci_lite: Tue, 25 Sep 2007 21:41:57 +0000[Raw Food] which comes first? So I'm thinking it may just depend on the individual, but on the raw diet, does the healing crisis come before or after the weight gain/loss? And how quickly can one expect to experience an event that qualifies as a healing crisis? I'm curious because I woke up this morning with a raw throat, and colorful mucus, and I've just started, so it seems too soon. Then again, who knows what my body is trying to get rid of?Nicole _______________ Gear up for Halo® 3 with free downloads and an exclusive offer. As much as anyone would love to tell you a straight answer, it's just impossible. Yes, your body will start detoxing immediately. You'll feel wonderful for the most part, but it will try to eliminate the junk - as you are already seeing. The weight loss and healing crisis are not interdependent, so... could be before, could be after, some never have a " massive " healing crisis (depending on what level they take their diet to and how toxic they were). The weight loss and creation of good health are gradual but immediate. Congratulations! Erica
Guest guest
Hi Nicole, Concurrently. Everyone's system is in a different condition, a different state of affairs, when they begin with RF. And each person's system sets its own priorities, based upon conditions, type of RF program, activity, sunshine, rest, hydration, and other factors. Guest guest
Hi all, I've been all-natural in food, body products and supplements for 5 years now...detoxed (cleansing or healing crisis) at the beginning by a nasty rash on my neck...cleansed my liver but then continued to eat cooked meat. Now I've been raw for almost two months and I'm detoxing again with the rash on my neck, plus migraines and sinus issues since day two of 100% raw. I've had sinus and migraines most of my adult life so I'm assuming this is part of the healing crisis, whatever you had ailing you that you were pushing back with meds will now be released if you just let it flow without the meds. So far so good...I want this crap out of my system so I'm not doing meds :-) ~ Jackie rawfood [rawfood ]On Behalf Of Nancy Griffis Tuesday, September 25, 2007 6:39 PM rawfood RE: [Raw Food] which comes first? you know, I just started on sunday and I woke up with a wicked sore throat today, myself! From wikipedia: The Herxheimer reaction (also known as Jarisch-Herxheimer or herx) occurs when large quantities of toxins are released into the body as bacteria die. Typically the death of these bacteria and the associated release of endotoxins occurs faster than the body can remove the toxins via the natural detoxification process performed by the kidneys and liver. It is manifested by fever, chills, headache, myalgia and other symptoms.
