Guest guest
Dale, The Saladacco is a peice of crap. It is also branded as Joyce Chen and Metro. It has one tiny blade that can be used flat or angel hair. It breaks easilly and only handles a very small peice at a time. Better spiral cutters are horizontal, not vertical. I bought ALL of them. They were either poorly made or ungodly expensive, so I improved the poorly made ones to work like the expensive ones and made molds and had some made. They are a hit at the local raw food joint and at the local raw food pot lucks. I was going to put them on a site along with ceramic knives (which I have a ton of), Evert Fresh storage bags and the cream of the crop of peelers. Haven't gotten to it yet as I'm swamped with my electronics business. My unit has 3 stainless steel combs for linguine, spaghetti and angel hair, or leave them out and get flat ribbons. $30 is the wholesale plus $7.50 S & H, money back if you don't like it. Email me at mstrong at jlielectronics dot com and I'll send you one. You can report back on how you like it. Myself and all the others I know love theirs. They don't use it every day but it works fine. My friend with the institute has 3 that she loves. That is great that you sell one of your own, but for $20, our saladaccos have worked for years - there is no reason to totally bash it is all just to sell your own - ? Guest guest
Hi Erica, I'm not bashing it to sell mine. I'm in the electronics manufacturing business. I just make raw food kitchen stuff when I can't find something reasonable that I personally want to use. Maybe Saladacco works fine for your needs. I'm a bit of a nut when it comes to kitchen stuff. For example i think Vita Mix is wimpy and have a 5 HP Waring with a 1 gallon stainless container. I think Cusineart food processors are wimpy and I have a RoboCoupe R2Dice. I have a giant ultrasonic tank to clean my veggies, etc. Were I primarily interested selling my stuff, certainly I would have made a web site to do so. In fact please contact me privately with your mailing address and I'll send you few for yourself and your frinds to try out, free. I think I have made something much better and that you guys will prefer it. You decide. Mark > Myself and all the others I know love theirs. They don't use it every > day but it works fine. That makes sense - you ARE hardcore! LOL! For what we use it for, here and there, it's fine, you are right. But it is not heavy duty in the least, you are right about that, too. Hey - I'm taking you up on your offer! THANKS! ERica
