Except that my friends (I know at least a few going through this right

now) never had medical treatment. Ever. And have fasted multiple times,

extensively. Lymes count is still thru the roof.... :-) It is estimated

(and is of my opinion) that the spirochete is a GMO bacteria, which of

course doesn't help. Erica

I agree that fasting is amazing. I used to think water fasting was

superior to juice fasting, and have now changed that viewpoint, but

fasting is fasting is fasting. It feels ideal, too. Love it. It is

extraordinarily healing. :-) Erica

Elchanan, I by and large agree with this. I believe testing (even

through naturpaths, not necessarily western doctors, etc) is

important and smart to do, but it would rarely affect the course of

recovery (although that is not to say it doesn't at all). But for

example, somebody had a low thyroid, as a friend did. She went raw

and ate tons of organic kale everyday. Which suppresses the thyroid.

As does citrus, and she drank tons of fresh OJ/Grapefruit juice.

Things like that make up my reasoning on the issue.

It is also of my opinion that doctors are murderers, by and large. As

well as crooks. How they can kill people with no shame and no

disciplinarian action taken is horribly offensive and should be

illegal.

No problem. To be honest, my heart is so totally with the animals, that

I am just so glad to hear your endorsement not just of health, but of

kindness and respect to them in our lives. It is soooo refreshing to

me, and gives me hope. It is a message sorely missing from the living

foods educational network and movement. Matters much more to me. People

can heal with or without herbs, and with or without supplements,

overall, if they want to. People can also heal on inorganic fruits and

vegetables, and have done so. Certain ways may take longer, etc, and we

may all have our preferences, so I am just glad there are options. :-)

Self-education is key. For all. There is no replacement for that. A lot

of people in the alternative health movement still wish to just be told

what to do..... Erica

Hi Erica,

Just curious--if they feel fine/have improved a lot with diet and

fasting, does it really matter if the count is still high?

Oh yeah, I would say it does. They feel better, not great or

totally " fine " . Raw keeps them from not being bedridden. Doctors are

shocked my one friend is on her feet at all. Lymes will cause

malabsorption, too. Deficiencies. My friend was D deficient, B

deficient, and much more, no matter what she eats. But she's getting

there. She's done a lot more than just diet and fasting, though.

Spirochetes are little devils.... Erica

Elchanan - Thank you. That is very kind! They are working with some

top Lymes' (raw-food friendly) natural specialists right now, and is

on a good path. She is at Hippocrates doing the 10 week Health

Educators program for her institute, too, and is doing great and

noticing improvements. They are not fruitarian there though, and

experience their results be limiting fruit (and are surely low-fat).

She is following a very comprehensive approach that is working for

her at this time. But, I'll keep that in mind. :-) Thanks! Erica
