That's ridiculous (horse poo!) Of course you can drink the milk. It's

wonderful stuff, even in an older coconut.

Thanks so much, Jeff, Elchanan, and Wisteria,

I ran off the directions for opening a coconut, and plan to do it

tomorrow. Hopefully, I'll be using the " milk " and the " meat " for my

smoothie. I just have to find some vanilla beans somewhere. Would

organic vanilla extract work as well as the scrapings from a vanilla bean?

Thanks,

Lynne

Lynne,

Go to www.jrmushroomsandspecialties.com I ordered 16 vanilla beans on Friday

and received them in the mail today, Monday. They smell absolutely wonderful

and I can't wait to use them. I found them on Amazon intially, but ordered

directly from them. They had wonderful reviews. I am impressed with their

excellent service and the smell--heavenly.
