I don't know how much 500g is of carrots. Start small with the ginger, though. :-) Ginger is awesome, and so great for you! I use a single auger, but it is electric. Your juicer is manual?? What would that even be like for carrots?? ERica
Guest guest
I was 'inspired' to try the carrot/ginger juice but am not sure how to juice the ginger. I have a single auger manual juicer which I doubt would manage this job, I also have a centrifugal blender that juices. Or should I just slice the ginger thin and add it as I add the carrots in the manual juicer? Also roughly how much ginger to use if I juice 500gms of carrots, ( I know its to taste, but a rough amount would be helpful) TIA -- the kneeling fool
Guest guest
In my Vita Mix, I throw in a few cut up carrots, a piece of organic peeled ginger and filtered water. How much - don't know - just guess - I like ginger so maybe 2 - 3 inch long piece. I do not use juice extractors. Too much cleanig for me. The vita Mix is simple and easy to clean. Plus, I like the pulp. If too much pulp, I just add more water and set it on high for a minute. But the manual juicer, at least for carrots, lets say it tests my limits... -- the kneeling fool

Guest guest
Ginger and carrots juice is very good with many benefits. I don't use a manual juicer but if carrots are easily juiced I don't see why you would not be able to juice ginger. First peel your ginger with a spoon and cut into small pieces and feed in between carrots. That should work well. By the way using a vita-mix is not juicing because you leave the fiber in and juicing allows the body to rest without having to digest the fiber. Anyway, Good luck and enjoy vj rawfood , the kneeling fool <kneel.pardoe wrote: > > On Tuesday 16 October 2007, Erica wrote: > > I don't know how much 500g is of carrots.
