Guest guest
Yes, I understand ... we learn as we go, we are not taught about such things .... much too important to learn all about readin' and writin' and 'rithmetik, and how to stand in line and follow procedures and all. Very important stuff, much more so than learning about teaching and raising our children. I suggest that you simply go forward from where you are now. Just make one shift (if you haven't already) ... let her lead herself into the solid foods. Let her ask, let her reach out. Don't offer the foods, just observe and respond with kindness and love. She is very young, her innate intelligence has not yet been educated into the back room of her mind. :) Beyond this, I suggest that you embrace opportunities to learn from people who can point out the big stuff ... the paradigm shifts that enable us to create health for ourselves and for our families. Not all the stuff about " take this " and " eat that " , that's all largely of little sustainable use. Instead, focus on acquiring a set of beliefs, a set of principles you can use to guide your own decision-making over time. In this way, seek self-reliance, not advice. For those who ask " what should I do " shall continue so to ask forever ... until they shift a few beliefs/paradigms. Should I discontinue the solid foods, even though my daughter has been on them for almost two months? We went without today and she nursed a bit more than usual, but otherwise seems okay. Anything else is asking for trouble later on ... food sensitivities and more. The recipe book is irrelevant, the question about seeds is irrelevant.
